An indictment against Russian singer and propagandist Yulia Chicherina, who supports Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, has been sent to court. This is reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, UNN reports.

She is charged with encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, illegal crossing of the state border, public desecration of the State Flag of Ukraine, propaganda of war and justification, recognition as lawful, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants (Art. 1, 3 of Art. 110, parts 1, 2 of Art. 332-2, part 1 of Art. 338, Art. 436, part 3 of Art. 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)
The department adds that the Russian woman began to actively support the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation in 2014 and demonstrate such support to a wide audience.
In particular, as a well-known Russian rock singer, musician and actress with a large following, she used her popularity to justify Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine. She presented this aggression as an internal civil conflict.
It is noted that the pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by the SBU's General Directorate. Operational support was provided by the SBU DCO.

The Prosecutor General's Office noted that together with unidentified Russian military personnel, members of illegal armed groups, and officials of the occupied territories of Ukraine, she organized and held concerts and gave interviews to the media.

During mass events, she publicly called for an aggressive war and intentional actions to change the boundaries of the territory and state border of Ukraine in violation of the procedure established by the Constitution of Ukraine.
In addition, the artist arrived in Zaporizhzhia region to support the Russian military. There, together with the occupiers, she removed the Ukrainian flag from the roof of the city hall of Enerhodar.

Based on the SBU materials, collaborator Yulia Lozanova (better known by her pseudonym Yulia Vityazeva), who is currently hiding in Russia, was sentenced to a prison term in absentia.
