Details

The law, under which deputies and senators can be dismissed early for uncoordinated departure from Russia, was signed by President Putin.

The law was previously passed by the State Duma and approved by the Council of the Russian Federation.

Help

The law obliges deputies and senators to coordinate their trips abroad with the leadership of the chambers of the russian parliament, otherwise they may be stripped of their mandate.

According to parliamentarians, the law is needed to prevent Russian deputies from being arrested abroad - for example, on an Interpol warrant in connection with the decision of the Ukrainian court,
