Russian President Putin has signed a law allowing for the early dismissal of deputies and senators for unauthorized travel abroad.

Details

The law, under which deputies and senators can be dismissed early for uncoordinated departure from Russia, was signed by President Putin.

The law was previously passed by the State Duma and approved by the Council of the Russian Federation.

The law obliges deputies and senators to coordinate their trips abroad with the leadership of the chambers of the russian parliament, otherwise they may be stripped of their mandate.
