Pro-kremlin media outlets spread unconfirmed accusations against the Security Service of Ukraine and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, claiming that their actions are contributing to the escalation of religious tensions.
According to these manipulations, the searches of ministers and lawyers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) and the Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ) are intended to incite conflict on religious grounds.
However, the reality is different. The founder of the so-called UOJ, as established by the Ministry of Justice, is a dollar millionaire, Vyshnevetsky, who is associated with trade in the occupied territories. His actions and activities are closely monitored by law enforcement agencies in connection with suspicion of aiding terrorists.
The publications aimed at accusing the SBU and the President of Ukraine have an obvious goal - to undermine public confidence in the government and state institutions, as well as to popularize the actions of the so-called "liberators.
