The Russian government is planning to lift the ban on gasoline exports at the end of the year or a little later, although repairs at refineries in the country are still underway.

UNN writes with reference to the Russian media.

Russia is planning to lift the ban on gasoline exports from the country ahead of schedule, said Deputy Prime Minister of the occupying country Alexander Novak. The official did not name the exact date - it does not matter whether it is from December 1 or not (i.e., before or after January 1, 2025).

The ban on gasoline exports from Russia is effective from March 1, 2024. However, there is an exception: the countries that are members of the EurAsEC (Eurasian Economic Community). In May 2024, the restriction was lifted, then in August the ban was renewed as refineries continued to undergo repairs.

Recall

Three Russian refineries cut or stop production due to significant financial losses. The losses are caused by export restrictions, high raw material prices, and loan rates.
