The first results of the IT coalition: Latvia handed over equipment for the Armed Forces

Ukraine has received 300 laptops from Latvian companies to improve the logistics system of its armed forces, while Estonia has allocated 500,000 euros to the IT Coalition for Ukrainian cybersecurity, and Iceland has become the latest country to join the coalition.

International partners continue to provide military support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine not only with weapons but also with modern equipment that will help strengthen Ukraine's cybersecurity. This was stated by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, reports UNN.

Latvian telecommunications companies LMT and TET, with the support of the Latvian NGO Entrepreneurs for Peace, donated 300 laptops to scale the SAP logistics system

The ministry added that the equipment will help keep records of supplies in another 150 military units.

In addition, during the 17th meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine, Estonia announced its first contribution to the IT coalition in the amount of 500 thousand euros. Earlier, Luxembourg made a contribution of 10 million euros. 

During the meeting, Iceland announced its accession to the coalition. This is the seventh partner country to join the initiative. Earlier, Estonia, Luxembourg, Belgium, Latvia, Lithuania and Denmark joined the initiative, the Ministry added.

The IT Coalition is a special group of states within the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense (the "Ramstein format") led by Estonia and Luxembourg, which focuses on providing support to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the field of IT, communications and cybersecurity.
