The Verkhovna Rada plans to appoint four members of the Accounting Chamber this week without changing the selection procedure. The G7 ambassadors expressed concern about the intention to appoint members of the Chamber before the completion of its reform. This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, UNN reports.
Details
According to Zheleznyak, on December 21, the Verkhovna Rada plans to appoint 4 members of the Accounting Chamber without changing the selection procedure. According to him, the former head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine Olha Pishchanska, assistant deputy head of the Presidential Office Pavlo Riabikin and head of the Financial Activity and Accounting Department Yelyzaveta Pushko-Tsybulyak are to be appointed as members of the Chamber.
However, the G7 ambassadors reacted to these upcoming appointments.
"G7 Ambassadors are concerned by reports that this week the Rada is rushing through 4 new appointments to the Accounting Chamber before the reform is completed. Until the reform law is adopted, these appointments would undermine the credibility of the institution responsible for overseeing international aid," the X social media post reads.
