During the interrogation, Bayzhanov clarified that on November 9, the President of the Russian Federation was visiting Astana and his delegation booked a VIP booth at the Bau restaurant that day.
"The organizers wanted to sit with us, in a VIP booth, and we had a reservation," Baizhanov said.
The judge asked lawyer Zhanna Urazbakhova what these questions about the Russian President's delegation had to do with the case.
"It is directly related to the case. Knowing that the delegation of the President of the Russian Federation was coming, they could not take Saltanat's body out of the restaurant. This is directly related to the case," the lawyer said.

At the hearing on April 15, Bakhytzhan Bayzhanov saidthat several times, after the curfew, a public figure, Baurzhan Musin, came to his cell in the pre-trial detention center and tried to turn him against the family of the deceased.
