The director of a state-owned enterprise and the actual owner of a private developer company have been notified of suspicion of attempting to bribe the leadership of the Ministry of Reconstruction. This was reported by UNN with reference to the SAPO.
On November 21, 2023, under the procedural guidance of SAPO prosecutors, NABU detectives served a notice of suspicion to the director of a state-owned enterprise and the actual owner of a private developer company of committing a crime under Part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Details
According to the SAPO, a number of construction contracts were concluded between a state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine and a private developer company on a state-owned land plot.
Realizing that there were grounds for termination of the said agreements at the initiative of the Ministry, the actual owner of the developer company, in complicity with the director of the state enterprise, proposed to the top official to provide him with an undue benefit in the amount of 2% of the area of future residential buildings (5200 square meters) for not terminating the said agreements and facilitating their implementation.

The SAPO notes that later the actual owner of the company ensured registration of property rights to 15 apartments in one of the residential complexes of the capital with a total area of 785 square meters in the name of the top official's "trustee", one of which he transferred into his ownership. As of today, the pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is ongoing.
The SAPO also noted that the Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine - Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine cooperated with the NABU and the SAPO and facilitated the investigation of the above-mentioned illegal actions.
