A strike by Russian troops on residential buildings in Kharkiv killed one person, wounded six people, two of whom are in serious condition, and damaged the Institute of Emergency Surgery, Mayor Igor Terekhov said on Wednesday, UNN reports.

"At the moment, we know about one dead person. Six more are wounded, two in serious condition," Terekhov wrote on Telegram.
According to him, five-story buildings where people lived were heavily damaged. "The emergency surgery institute was also damaged," he said.
"We are currently establishing what the aggressor used to strike at civilians in Kharkiv," Terekhov noted.
