Latvia intends to send medical supplies to the destroyed Okhmatdyt hospital in Kyiv. This is reported by Delfi, UNN reports.
Details
Latvia plans to send medical supplies to the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital in Kyiv, which was damaged after a missile attack by a terrorist country.
The Ministry of Health of Latvia is monitoring the situation in Ukraine and is in contact with the embassies of Latvia and Ukraine, as well as the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. On July 18, the Ministry of Health of Latvia received a letter from its Ukrainian colleagues asking for help.
In cooperation with the Emergency Medical Service, the Latvian Ministry identified available resources and opportunities for support. It was decided that, given the situation in Ukraine and the availability of medical supplies in state reserves, humanitarian assistance could be provided by redirecting resources from these reserves.
It is planned to send bandages, adhesive plasters, tourniquets, needles, syringes and various antibiotics to Ukraine. The amount needed to replenish the state's material reserves is 12,600 euros.
