The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated UAH 788 million to the Ministry of Defense, which will allow to form additional demining units. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, according to UNN.
An extraordinary meeting of the Government has just approved a decree to provide funds to the Ministry of Defense to strengthen defense capabilities in the frontline regions. In particular, 759 million hryvnias will be allocated for the purchase of vehicles and 29 million hryvnias for special equipment
According to Shmyhal, the allocation of additional funds will allow the formation of additional demining units and significantly accelerate the timeframe for clearing land from Russian mines and shells.
