Irish writer Paul Lynch beat out more than a hundred other contenders to win the the Man Booker Prize in 2023 for his novel Song of the Prophet, about tyranny and and the suppression of protests. This is reported on the official website of the Booker Prize, UNN reports.

In the dystopian novel "The Song of the Prophet" tells the story of a woman named Eilish Stack, who, after her husband's arrest, raises four children alone, is described as Ireland becomes divided between right and left, and then slides into to autocratic rule and violence.
