A 5-year-old child died of carbon monoxide poisoning in the village of Lityn, Vinnytsia region, while the child's mother, grandmother and aunt were hospitalized.

The incident occurred in a private house in the village of Litin.  the child was reportedly killed, and his  28-year-old mother, 76-year-old grandmother, and 52-year-old aunt were taken to the hospital.   

According to preliminary information, the cause of the tragedy was unauthorized interference in the exhaust gas removal system.

The State Emergency Service reminded that carbon monoxide is invisible to vision, absolutely imperceptible and can lead to trouble in a matter of minutes. It can form due to improper operation of heating devices or insufficient ventilation.   

Rescuers urge to install carbon monoxide sensors in homes.
