Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko has signed a law that allows military commissariats to notify people about their appearance at a military registration and enlistment office via SMS, and mobile operators are obliged to provide the numbers of citizens who are registered for military service. This is stated in the law No. 363-3, UNN reports.

According to the law, military commissariats are allowed to notify citizens of their appearance at a military commissariat or call-up for military service via SMS. Telecommunications operators are now obliged to provide the numbers of citizens registered for military service at the request of military commissariats within a week of receiving the request.
SMS notifications will be sent in the event of mobilization, as well as for mobilization preparation activities. The fact of sending will be sufficient for the message to be considered legally delivered to the addressee.
