In Kyiv, two people were notified of suspicion of drug trafficking - they were found to be in possession of a kilogram of cocaine, which was supplied from the Netherlands and sold exclusively in large quantities for cryptocurrency. The dealers earned more than UAH 12 million a month. This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office on Wednesday, UNN reports.

The investigation established that the 36-year-old native of Donetsk region, together with his accomplice, organized a cocaine supply channel from the Netherlands to Ukraine.
"The cocaine was sold exclusively in large quantities, and payments were made only in cryptocurrency. This "business" brought the offenders more than UAH 12 million per month," the prosecutor's office said.
Reportedly, during the searches of the defendants' homes and cars, "about 1 kg of cocaine, draft records, electronic scales, and two cars were seized.
The estimated value of the seized "goods" at "black market" prices is, as indicated, more than $250 thousand.
Two defendants were served a notice of suspicion on illegal storage and sale of drugs (Part 3 Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The offenders face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
