Venice limits the size of tourist groups to 25 people to reduce the impact of crowds on the city. UNN writes about this with reference to Reuters.
Details
Starting August 1, the local authorities in Venice will limit the size of tourist groups to 25 people and ban the use of loudspeakers by tourist guides. In this way, they are trying to protect the peace of local residents and ensure freer movement of pedestrians.
The restrictions apply to the city center, as well as to the islands of Murano, Burano, and Torcello.
Those who do not comply with these new measures, which were planned to be introduced in June, will face fines ranging from 25 to 500 euros.
