A former executive at Twitter, now called X, has filed a lawsuit claiming he was fired because he raised concerns about budget cuts that would have prevented the company from adhering to security practices. This was reported by The Guardian, UNN.

Alan Rosa, who was the head of Twitter's information security department, filed a lawsuit in a federal court in New Jersey, accusing the company of breach of contract, wrongful termination, and retaliation, among other claims. Rosa explains that he objected to the possible security budget cuts because such steps would have provoked a breach of a $150 million agreement that was reached in early 2022 with the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC), - the organization has previously indicated that Twitter misused the personal information of its users' personal information. Alan Rosa is currently seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages, as well as legal fees.

Since Elon Musk acquired the company and laid off more than half of its employees to cut costs, numerous lawsuits have been filed against X Corp by former employees and executives.
These lawsuits contain a number of claims, including that the company failed to pay hundreds of millions of of dollars in severance pay to former employees, discriminated against older workers women, and employees with disabilities, and failed to provide advance notice of massive layoffs. X Corp denies its violations.
