Ukraine and the UAE finalize negotiations on a comprehensive economic partnership agreement that will facilitate Ukraine's entry into the global market.

Representatives of Ukraine and the UAE signed a joint statement on the completion of negotiations on a comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the governments of Ukraine and the UAE. The agreement will facilitate Ukraine's entry into the global market.  This was reported on Monday by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, UNN reports. 

Details

The statement was signed by the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko and the Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the UAE, Thani bin Ahmed Al Zayed. 

Reportedly, the agreement between the governments of Ukraine and the UAE:

  • is comprehensive, meaning it includes goods, services, investments, digital trade, etc;
  • will help improve trade conditions between countries, increase the volume of goods and services by reducing tariff barriers;
  • will stimulate investment cooperation.

This is the first agreement in the most economically advanced region of the Middle East. It covers not only the United Arab Emirates but the Gulf region in general. This means that we are entering not only the Emirates market, but the global market as well

- said Yulia Svyrydenko.

It is noted that the agreement will be signed after the completion of domestic procedures in Ukraine and the UAE.
