The draft law on mobilization submitted to the Verkhovna Rada by the Cabinet of Ministers will not be voted on in its original form. Parliamentarians plan to start working on a compromise version of the draft law. This was stated by MP, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy Yevheniya Kravchuk during a telethon, UNN reports.
We already understand that the draft law on mobilization will not be put to a vote in its original form. I think it will be a committee version. There is a specialized Committee on Security and Defense. And this week, the working group will work on a compromise version of the draft law on mobilization that would allow it to be voted on in the session hall
She added that the draft law raises some concerns about corruption provisions, and that it has been criticized by the Ombudsman.
In addition, Kravchuk emphasized that people should feel a fair approach to mobilization, and that soldiers who are currently at the front should understand when they will be replaced.
"But prepared, trained people must come," the MP said.

On December 25, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine submitted to the Verkhovna Rada draft law No. 10378 regulating mobilization, recruitment and military service. This legislative initiative envisages a number of restrictions and sanctions against Ukrainian citizens liable for military service who evade mobilization.
According to Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the Presidential Office, the draft law on mobilization submitted to the Verkhovna Rada by the Cabinet of Ministers will not be voted on in the form proposed by the government. The draft law will be put to a vote in the Verkhovna Rada only after it has been discussed and amended.
