The corrosion of metal elements of supporting structures and the formation of mineral deposits led to the technical condition of the tunnel of the "blue line" of the Kyiv subway. Timely detection of negative processes and appropriate measures would have helped to avoid an emergency. This was told by Tetyana Arnaut, a forensic expert of the National Scientific Center of the "Institute of Forensic Expertise named after Honored Professor Mykola Bokarius", on the air of the telethon, UNN reports .
The subway tunnel in the study area is located in difficult engineering and geological conditions and requires close monitoring. The corrosion of metal elements of the supporting structures and the formation of mineral deposits indicate the long-term processes that led to the current technical condition of the tunnel. Therefore, timely detection of negative processes and appropriate measures would have helped to avoid this emergency,
