Climate change processes have a significant impact - not always negative, as they can be successfully used to develop Ukraine's agricultural sector. Currently, crops that were not previously planted in the regions of the Ukrainian state are appearing in the respective territories.
This was stated by the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky at the conference "Climate Change: Challenges for Agricultural Education and Science," UNN reports .

During his welcoming speech at the VII International Conference "Climate Change: Challenges for Agricultural Education and Science", the First Deputy Minister also noted the following:
Science can analyze what opportunities are opening up for the agricultural sector and predict further development. Education is needed to train qualified specialists. Therefore, the scientific and governmental communities need to formulate a long-term strategy for addressing the challenges posed by climate change
The official also emphasized the importance of productive cooperation between government agencies, agricultural producers, and specialized education and science to formulate an agricultural policy that will also take into account the EU experience.
