Details

The rocket took off at 9:58 a.m. (Beijing time) from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center Xichang Satellite Launch Center in the southwestern province of Sichuan and sent Yaogan-39 satellite into the target orbit.

This was the 500th flight of the Long March series rockets.

On December 6, China successfully sent a satellite into space to test Internet technologies from the sea area near the city of Yangjiang, in southern China.
