The fighting in the Kherson region around the village of Krynky is unpleasant for russia, although it is much smaller than the main battles at the front. This was reported by the British Ministry of Defense, UNN reports.
Details
British analysts confirmed that fighting continues in southern Ukraine around the village of Krynky, where Ukrainian marines hold a bridgehead on the eastern bank of the Dnipro River.
The agency says the ground fighting is characterized by confusing, disorderly infantry clashes and artillery fire in difficult wooded terrain.
During the fighting in the lower reaches of the Dnipro River, Ukraine is particularly effective in using small attack drones. In contrast, Russian aviation carries out a significant number of sorties in support of the frontline troops, mostly launching ammunition from beyond the reach of the Ukrainian air defense system.
Supplement
The fighting around Krynkyi is smaller than some of the major battles of the war, but Russian leaders will view it as extremely distasteful.
British intelligence officials explained that Russia withdrew from the western bank of the Dnipro River a year ago in order to probably keep Ukrainian troops west of the river. Previously, the Russians wanted to keep the peace in this sector and free up forces elsewhere.
As a reminder
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed the operation on the left bank of the Kherson region: The defense forces are trying to push the enemy as far as possible from the right bank of the Dnipro.
