The police received a report of an explosion near one of the high-rise buildings in Sviatoshynskyi district last night.
"It has been established that two men were injured in the explosion, which was probably caused by a grenade. The victims were hospitalized in a medical facility. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated," the police said in a statement on social media.
The Sviatoshyno Police Department initiated criminal proceedings over the incident under Article 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) and Article 128 (Careless grievous or moderate bodily harm) of the Criminal Code.
