An elderly woman died in a fire in Ovruch. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, UNN reports.

On July 28, a fire broke out in a three-room apartment on the 4th floor in the city of Ovruch, Zhytomyr region.
Rescuers arrived at the scene and found the body of the apartment's owner, born in 1948. The fire was completely extinguished.
The fire destroyed household items and a bed, damaged the walls of the room.
The fire was caused by carelessness while smoking.
Six rescuers and one piece of equipment were engaged to extinguish the fire.
