The command of one of the military units in Chernihiv region has reimbursed the state UAH 1.7 million out of almost UAH 39 million of losses identified during the audit. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense, according to UNN.

Officials of a military unit in Chernihiv region have reimbursed UAH 1.7 million in damages to the state. UAH 1.5 million was reimbursed in cash and UAH 200 thousand in in-kind property (3.1 thousand liters of diesel fuel and 13 batteries)
This is an inspection of one of the military units in Chernihiv region. Then The Internal Audit Service of the Ministry of Defense, together with law enforcement officers , established UAH 38.8 million in losses. It is noted that most of the losses - UAH 37.1 million - were caused by the unreasonable overstatement of the cost of generators purchased in 2022.

Currently, the amount of damage caused in this military unit, after partial reimbursement, is UAH 37.1 million.
Addendum
The Ministry said that according to the procedure, the money was credited to the account of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, and the property was recorded in the military unit's accounting and used for its intended purpose.
The internal audit materials have now been submitted to law enforcement agencies.
A criminal proceeding was registered under Part 4 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (fraud committed on a large scale). The pre-trial investigation is ongoing
