The survey showed an increase in the number of Ukrainians who prefer official employment from 62.2% to 74.2%. 29.6% of respondents felt an increase in financial security.

A sociological survey conducted by the Razumkov Center with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation showed that more and more Ukrainians are choosing official employment and feeling more financially secure, UNN reports.

Details

From 2019 to 2024, there was an increase in the number of people who prefer official employment - from 62.2% to 74.2%, which indicates an increase in trust in legislative institutions and a growing understanding of the importance of social guarantees provided by the state.

According to the data, 29.6% of respondents felt an increase in financial security, which may be due to the above factors, as well as the overall economic recovery of the country.

As legislation and social guarantees have been strengthened, the number of people who consider it possible to work without formalization has decreased.

However, 30.7% still rarely accept such work, indicating the need for further strengthening of information campaigns and economic incentives.Information campaigns do not seem to have a significant impact on perceptions of the work environment - 43.3% of respondents did not notice any changes after such campaigns. This may indicate the need to reassess the methods and content of such campaigns.

One of the notable trends is the high mobility of Ukrainian workers who go abroad in search of better working and living conditions. 73.3% of respondents indicated that employee mobility is an important reason for their departure.

Information about the survey

These are the results of a sociological survey conducted by the Razumkov Center's sociological service in early June this year with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Ukraine. The survey was conducted by face-to-face interviews throughout Ukraine, except for those areas where active hostilities are ongoing. 2016 respondents aged 18 and older were interviewed.

Recall

Under martial law, women are more likely to choose atypical professions. According to the State Employment Service, the number of women studying to become machine operators, machinists, and electricians has increased.
