Acting Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Serhiy Holovaty failed to appear in court to hear a case on an administrative offense. He is suspected of acting in conditions of a real conflict of interest. The case was postponed until December 21, UNN reports.
Judge of the Holosiivskyi District Court of Kyiv O.S. Pervushyna in case No. 752/25199/23 on bringing Golovaty S.P. to administrative responsibility scheduled a court hearing for 07.12.2023, while the case was postponed to 21.12.2023 due to the absence of a participant,
As it became known to UNN, Golovaty deliberately failed to appear at the hearing in order to delay the consideration and further avoid responsibility.
Thus, if the court finds Holovaty guilty of an offense, information about him will be entered into the Unified State Register of Persons Who Committed Corruption and Corruption-Related Acts.
Addendum
On November 16, it was reportedthat the NACP drew up reports on administrative violations against the acting head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine (CCU), Serhiy Holovaty, and the head of the CCU Secretariat, Viktor Beschastny.
The information from the received report on the judge's actions in conditions of a real conflict of interest is being checked. To confirm or refute this information, the NACP sent a request to the CCU to provide copies of the relevant documents. However, the Head of the CCU Secretariat refused to provide the requested documents.
In this regard, the NACP submitted a binding order to the Chairman, which was also ignored. Instead, the NACP received a letter from the CCU challenging the order in an administrative court. As of today, there is no information on whether the court has opened proceedings on this claim and made decisions to suspend the execution of the order.
