In 2023, more than 400 thousand financial reports were submitted by companies. Of these, 0.6% of the documents had errors. This is reported by Opendatabot, UNN.
Details
Ukrainian companies filed more than half of their financial reports using MEDOC software - 214 thousand or 53.6%. The Taxpayer's Cabinet of the State Tax Administration took second place with almost 125 thousand reports, which is 31.2%. The Sonata and Art-Report Pro services received much smaller shares - only 4.3% and 3% of the total, respectively. The following services were also used: FREDO - 3%; FZ - 2.35%; BUHONLINE - 2.17% and others.
In total, about 2.6 thousand documents contained errors, which is 0.6% of all submitted reports. It should also be noted that the share of errors varies between software services: for example, MEDOC and CABINET had 0.7% and 0.5% errors, respectively. In the FZ service, which is used by about 2,000 companies, the error rate was higher - 3.9%. The most common mistake is omitting the word "thousand" when specifying amounts in hryvnias.
Among the different types of businesses, service cooperatives have the highest error rate at 23.5%. Limited liability companies (LLCs) and trade unions also have significant error rates, 9.6% and 6.7%, respectively.
Errors in financial statements create problems for the company itself - from the attention of the tax authorities to difficulties in attracting additional financing from banks. Opendatabot carefully checks all reports to ensure that errors in the declarations do not affect the calculation of economic trends or ratings. The State Statistics Service regularly publishes the submitted reports, so businesses that have made mistakes can resubmit and update their data
