Ukrainian troops destroyed six enemy "Shahed" kamikaze drones in the Northern Operational Zone, including one over Kyiv region, reported Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev.

In the Northern Operational Zone, which includes Kyiv region region, six enemy kamikaze drones were destroyed last night. This was reported by by the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev, reports UNN.

"Last night, the enemy again tried to break through the strong air defense of the Northern Operational Zone, launching 6 drones towards military and and civilian targets, launching 6 Shahed kamikaze drones. 

Despite another attempt by the enemy, all air targets were were destroyed by the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Three of them were destroyed by mobile fire groups of the air defense of the Northern Group of Forces.

In particular, one attack drone was destroyed in the sky over Kyiv region. unmanned aerial vehicle was destroyed in the sky over Kyiv. Two more kamikaze drones were destroyed in the Sumy direction, one of which was destroyed in the sky over Poltava region" - Nayev said.
