Ukrainian truckers have ended their hunger strike at the Krakovets-Korchova border crossing after reaching an agreement with Polish strikers to allow 7 trucks per hour, with priority given to humanitarian and military cargo. They may resume the strike if the agreement is violated by December 3.

Truckers stuck on the border with Poland at the Krakivets-Korchova checkpoint have suspended their hunger strike after negotiations with Polish strikers. This was reported by Suspilne, according to UNN.

Details

Ukrainian drivers who are blocked on the border with Poland, namely at the Krakivets-Korchova checkpoint, went on a hunger strike. The drivers demanded that the Poles allow 14 trucks to pass through per hour.

However, on the same day, the protesters and drivers agreed that 7 trucks per hour would pass through the checkpoint, and humanitarian and military cargo would be allowed to move out of turn.

As a result, the Ukrainian drivers canceled the hunger strike, but are ready to announce it again if the Polish side violates the agreement by December 3.

As a reminder

Ukraine and Poland agreed to open the Uhryniv-Dolhobyczów border crossing for empty trucks.
