The UK will conduct reconnaissance flights over the Gaza Strip to help search for and rescue British hostages kidnapped by Hamas, British Defense Secretary Grant Shepps said, according to UNN.

Grant Shepps said that Hamas is still holding British hostages. To help rescue operations, unarmed UK planes will begin to fly over the Gaza Strip to help locate the hostages.

The UK Ministry of Defense added that the reconnaissance planes will not be armed, will not perform a combat role, and their task will be solely to search for hostages. Only information related to the rescue of hostages will be transmitted to the relevant authorities responsible for rescuing hostages.
