Kyiv police have confirmed that the body of a 20-year-old man who fell into the Dnipro River yesterday from an amusement ride due to a broken cable has been found. The search operation lasted about seven hours, and this morning the body was found during a survey of the river bottom, the Kyiv police department said on Monday, UNN reported.

"The search operation has been terminated, the boy's body has been found," the police reported on social media.
Kyiv police received information about the accident yesterday at around 14:00. Investigators of the Pechersk Police Department initiated criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 2 of Article 272, Part 3 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The search operation, which was carried out by officers of the Kyiv River Port Police Department and rescuers of the State Emergency Service, lasted about seven hours and was terminated at dusk.
"This morning, police officers and rescuers resumed search operations. During the examination of the river bottom, the body of the deceased boy was found," the police said.
