The majority of Ukrainians (68%) believe that Ukraine retains its sovereignty and is able to make its own decisions, while 25% believe that Ukraine has largely lost its sovereignty and is under Western control, according to a poll by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.

Almost 70% of Ukrainians believe that Ukraine retains its sovereignty and is able to make its own decisions. A quarter of Ukrainian citizens believe the opposite, and that they are under the control of the West. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, UNN reports.

Details

The overwhelming majority of Ukrainians - 68% - believe that Ukraine retains its sovereignty and is able to make its own decisions. The number of those who believe that Ukraine has mostly lost its sovereignty and is under the control of the West and rather follows its commands is 25%. The remaining 7% could not decide on their opinion

- the study says.

Earlier, KIIS published the results of the survey on how Ukrainians currently perceive the West's assistance to Ukraine. Those who believe that the West is tired of Ukraine and wants to put pressure on Ukraine to make concessions are much more likely to believe in the "loss of sovereignty." Among them, 36% believe that Ukraine has lost its sovereignty (although 60% do not think so).

Among those who believe that the West remains a serious ally of Ukraine, only 15% believe that Ukraine has mostly lost its sovereignty, while 78% see Ukraine as sovereign and capable of making its own independent decisions.
