Details
Kirby reminded that Pentagon Comptroller Michael McCord warned in a letter to the heads of the relevant congressional committees that the remaining funds have already been used to replenish US military stocks and replace what the US sends to Ukraine.
We are planning another aid package for Ukraine later this month. However, when it is finalized, as Comptroller McCord made clear in his memo to Congress today, we will no longer have the authority to replenish the budget
He once again called on Congress to act without delay and approve new funding for Ukraine.
Ukraine still needs our help. And it is high time for Congress to act to stand up for freedom and democracy, protecting our own national security interests, which are severely compromised here
