At its next meeting, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence will consider the situation with the armored collection vehicle belonging to the liquidated Concord Bank. The MPs will consider the possibility of transferring such property directly to the Armed Forces of Ukraine instead of selling it by the Deposit Guarantee Fund at auction. This was stated in an exclusive commentary to UNN by a member of the parliamentary committee, the chairman of the subcommittee on state security and defense, Fedir Venislavsky.
As for this particular case, I definitely support the transfer. If there is such a possibility and such a proposal, then there is no doubt about it, as long as there are no debts to depositors .
After clarifying that Concord Bank had paid off all its debts, he said: "So what are your questions? Of course, we need to pass it on, 100%. We will have a committee in the coming days, thank you for the information, we will also consider it and generally propose that such cases should be an exception and immediately go to the Armed Forces."
Venislavsky recalled that at the beginning of the war, on the contrary, they tried to transfer as many armored collection vehicles to the military as possible.
"I am in favor of transferring the equipment that protects our military to the Armed Forces or other units, there is no doubt about it. I want to say that in the early days of the war, my colleagues and I, including the Tax and Finance Committees, tried to ensure that the maximum number of such armored vehicles, including collection vehicles, reached our troops," Venislavsky said.

Co-founder of Concord Bank Olena Sosiedka appealed to the Deposit Guarantee Fund to not hold an auction for the sale of the bank's armored collection car, but to donate it to the military.
The soldiers of the 204th Kyiv Territorial Defense Battalion, which is currently on the front line, call on the Deposit Guarantee Fund to heed the proposal of the shareholders of the Concord Bank and transfer the armored vehicle for sale to the army.
Concorde Bank has been under the management of the DGF since the NBU announced its decision to liquidate the bank. Currently, according to the Fund, the payment of the claims of the 9th priority of creditors (shareholders and related parties) is already underway - this is the last priority. At the time of the start of the liquidation procedure, the bank was profitable, and there was no need to sell assets to make all payments. However, the DGF decided to hold an auction to sell the bank's collection vehicle.
The official website of the Guarantee Fund contains information on the auction for the sale of a light-duty cargo van - a Volkswagen Transporter (specialized with armored protection PCSA-3, year of manufacture - 2013) on January 3, 2024. The vehicle is also accompanied by tires, load-bearing vests and protective plates belonging to Concord Bank.
"We are appealing to the Foundation to donate this vehicle to the military, because thanks to the armor, such vehicles are able to perform operations related to driving directly to the ground. For our team, charity is a way of life. We hope that the Foundation will listen to our request and take into account the needs of the military," wrote Olena Sosiedka. She also added that the bank's shareholders are ready to reduce their payments by the amount of the car's value.
