Russian occupants are insidious and can strike at any time and in any direction. This was stated by the spokesperson for the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine Natalia Humeniuk during a briefing, commenting on whether we should expect an increase in the threat during the New Year holidays, reports UNN.

When asked whether we should expect an increase in the threat to Ukraine over the New Year holidays, Humeniuk replied: "I am not a supporter of saying that we should expect an escalation. We are at war, we know that the insidious enemy can strike at any time and in any direction. It is obvious that even the Holy Evening did not stop the enemy and the attacks were powerful."

Gumenyuk emphasized that it is therefore necessary to be in readiness and not to neglect air raid warnings.

Addendum

On Christmas Eve, Russian troops attacked southern Ukraine, shooting down 22 Shahed attack drones, 17 of which were in Odesa region, as well as two missiles, one of which the enemy fired in the direction of Kropyvnytskyi and the other in the direction of Odesa region.
