March was the tenth month in a row with record high global temperatures, according to data from the EU's C3S climate monitoring service released on Tuesday evening, NTB writes, reports UNN.

Details

The data shows a continuation of the trend that characterized most of 2023: record heat in large parts of the world.

According to researchers, March was the tenth month in a row with a record high global average temperature for the corresponding month.

The average temperature of 14.14 degrees is 0.1 degrees higher than the previous March record in 2016.

In the sea, the measurements were perhaps even more extreme. The calculated average monthly surface temperature of the world's oceans was the highest in history.
