The State Energy Supervision Inspectorate will conduct a prompt inspection of the power units of thermal power plants that were unplanned were put under emergency repair on November 22. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy, according to UNN.

It is noted that on November 22, 7 power units of thermal power plants immediately went into emergency repair 7 thermal generation units went into emergency repair at once: 6 units managed by DTEK Energo and 1 - by Centrenergo.
As a result, during the peak evening hours of consumption, the power system experienced a temporary shortage of electricity.
The Ministry of Energy noted that it was a minor deficit - less than 1% of daily consumption. It was covered by imports of electricity from Poland, Romania, and Slovakia.

In the evening of November 22, 4 power units were connected to the grid, adding more than 700 MW of capacity.
Now, Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko has instructed the specialists of the State Energy Supervision to find out the reasons for the unscheduled outage. They promised to report on the The results of the inspection were promised to be reported later.
The ministry emphasized that there were no restrictions on consumers' electricity supply and, accordingly, no blackouts were foreseen or planned.
