US President Joe Biden called on the US Congress to pass a bill worth 1 111 billion, which included providing assistance to Ukraine and Israel. He said this in an address to congressmen, reports UNN.
Details
Biden said that the US Congress should approve additional assistance for Ukraine.
"I would like to talk about help today. Congress must approve additional funding for Ukraine. It shocks me that we have reached this point, and congressional Republicans are unwilling to approve it. We need to bring Putin to justice. For almost 2 years, the majestic people of Ukraine have been defending themselves from Putin's ambitions to dominate. The United States should be proud that we are helping Ukraine succeed and providing weapons and ammunition," Biden said.
He added that by refusing to approve aid to Ukraine, Congress "shows a desire to give Putin the greatest gift."
"I call on Congress to do something, to protect freedom. Let's do this. We will make sure that Putin does not seize Ukraine," Biden said.
