The soldiers who shot the police in Vinnytsia region were carrying 100 combat grenades and 25,000 rounds of ammunition to hide them in their dacha. This was reported by the head of the Vinnytsia Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office of the Southern Region Oleksiy Rikhlyuk on the Kyiv 24 TV channel, UNN reports.
After they (the suspects - ed.) reported that they had left a certain amount of ammunition in the reservoir. Currently, the scene has been inspected with the participation of explosive experts and divers. But it has already been preliminarily established that about 100 grenades were found, as well as about 100 fuses for them and about 25,000 rounds of ammunition for small arms of 5.45 caliber. This is preliminary data at the moment, as I speak to you, investigators are still inspecting the scene and describing this other property.

Investigators also found out where the detained soldiers were transporting the ammunition.
As they noted in them, there is a house in Vinnytsia region, and according to the suspects, it was there that they were transporting these munitions. Currently, their testimony is being established. We are checking a very large set of investigative search actions, which I cannot disclose at this time. After all procedural actions are completed, it will be possible to provide more detailed information.
At the same time, investigators did not find any information indicating drug trafficking in this case. The prosecutor denied rumors that the detained soldiers were transporting drugs.
At present, the investigation has not found any evidence of drug trafficking.
Context
According to the investigation, on April 20, at night, the suspects killed one police officer, injured another and fled the scene while checking a car . Law enforcement officers tracked them down and detained them in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC of Ukraine in an abandoned building in the village of Lypetske, Podil district, Odesa region.
Subsequently, two servicemen were notified of suspicion of murder and attempted murder of police officers in Vinnytsia region. Currently, both have been imposed a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention without bail.
The State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the fact of desertion of military personnel involved in the shooting of law enforcement officers in Vinnytsia region on April 20.
