As a result of the Russian strike on Kostyantynivka, the number of victims increased to six, UNN reports, citing the Prosecutor General's Office.
"Today the Russian armed forces shelled Kostyantynivka. Six local residents sustained injuries of varying severity. The victims with injuries and shrapnel wounds were taken to a medical facility," the statement said.
Residential buildings, cars, and power lines were damaged. The type of weapons used by the occupiers against the townspeople is being established.
Prosecutors are taking all possible and appropriate measures to document war crimes committed by representatives of the Russian armed forces.
"...a pre-trial investigation has been initiated in criminal proceedings on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the statement said.
