In Kyiv , the air alert lasted almost 5 hours in total, more than three dozen air targets were hit over the capital during the enemy attack, the KCMA reported, describing the consequences of the attack, UNN reports.
Today, the enemy conducted one of the most massive air strikes on the territory of Ukraine. The enemy used Shahed barrage munitions, X-22/X-32 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 strategic bombers, ballistic missiles, S-300, X-101/X555 cruise missiles from Tu-95 MS strategic bombers, and X-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles from Mig-31K. In Kyiv, the air alert was declared three times and lasted almost 5 hours in total. During the last alert, the capital was attacked by several dozen missiles of various types. They came at the city in waves and from different directions. Over three dozen air targets were hit by air defense forces and means over Kyiv. The building of Lukyanivska metro station is reportedly damaged, the entrance to the metro is closed, and trains are passing the station without stopping.
The rest of the consequences, according to KCMA, are in the capital's districts:
In the Podil district:
- a warehouse fire on an area of approximately 3000 m2. The State Emergency Service is working.
In Sviatoshynskyi district:
- an unoccupied multi-storey building caught fire;
- three cars caught fire.
Both fires have been extinguished.
In Shevchenkivskyi district:
- a fire in an unfinished business center;
- damage to a residential building;
- fire on the territory of garages (eliminated);
- fire in the warehouse;
- on the territory of non-residential buildings.
In Darnytskyi district:
- damage to a residential multi-storey building;
- one private house.
No fires.
"It is symbolic, in the style of the Nazis, that exactly one year ago - on December 29, 2022 - the aggressor launched one of the most massive combined air strikes on Ukraine. On that day, 16 out of 16 missiles were shot down over Kyiv. Both then and now, the enemy has not broken us or intimidated us. We will survive no matter what. Believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Believe in our Victory," Popko emphasized.
