Russian troops have loaded a new Yars intercontinental ballistic missile into a mine at the Kozelsk base in the Kaluga region, south west of Moscow, the Russian Defense Ministry has reported, UNN reports.
"In the Kozelsk formation of the Russian Aerospace Forces, a Yars intercontinental ballistic missile was loaded into a silo launcher," the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The agency released a video of the giant rocket being transported to the mine and loaded into the installation.
The ministry said that the rearmament of the Strategic Missile Forces is not only about equipping them with new missile systems, but also about "creating the necessary infrastructure to ensure better conditions for training the next force."
