Protasiv Yar Nature Reserve in Kyiv officially renamed in honor of fallen activist Roman Ratushnyi

The Kyiv City Council has named the Protasiv Yar reserve in honor of the fallen activist Roman Ratushnyi, and activists from Protect Protasiv Yar have vowed to defend his legacy despite the ongoing disputes over the reserve's status.

Kyiv City Council deputies unanimously supported the naming of the Protasiv Yar nature reserve with the name of Roman Ratushnyi. The decision of the city council was reported by activists of the Protect Protasiv Yar movement, which was founded by Roman Ratushny, UNN reports.

Kyiv City Council voted to designate the Protasiv Yar Nature Reserve named after Roman Ratushnyi. 76 votes in favor, 0 against. "against. We thank the Kyiv city authorities for this decision. It is long overdue.

The Protect Protasiv Yar community promised to make every effort to ensure that Protasiv Yar will long to remind future generations of Kyivites of Roman.
