The Verkhovna Rada has adopted a draft law granting the right to defer mobilization to those whose half-siblings were killed or went missing while participating in hostilities. This was reported by UNN with reference to MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak and the card of the bill No. 11391.

The Verkhovna Rada voted in favor of draft law No. 11391 on deferral for non-family members. In favor - 300 (as a basis); 310 (as a whole)
According to the draft law, persons liable for military service whose close relatives, including a sibling, were killed or went missing while participating in hostilities, including the ATO, or who were posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine, will be eligible for the deferral.

In early September, the Verkhovna Rada will consider a draft law that would correct a legislative conflict when men aged 18 to 25 could be mobilized into the Armed Forcesif they had served in the military, graduated from a military department, or were recognized as having limited fitness in peacetime.
