The Verkhovna Rada has adopted in the second reading bill No. 8313, which provides for changes in the procedure for granting vacations, including an increase in the period for demobilized persons to 60 days. This was announced on Wednesday by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, reports UNN.
Details
Zheleznyak said that the bill on amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine on the regulation of the provision and use of vacations was adopted by a total of 273 votes.
The relevant draft law provides for:
- maternity leave no later than 3 months from the date of birth
- the main continuous part of the annual leave not less than 14 days
- the maximum period of unpaid leave should be increased from 15 to 30 days
- leave in connection with the adoption of a child - regardless of the child's age
- leave for demobilized persons for 60 days with payment of salary for 2 months.
MP, Deputy Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy Yevheniia Kravchuk noted that during the second reading of the draft law, she made two important amendments that helped preserve the right of employees to sabbaticals.
"The wording of Article 77 of the Labor Code on the right to a sabbatical remains in force: 'Sabbaticals are granted to employees to complete dissertations, write textbooks, and in other cases provided for by law. The duration, procedure, conditions for granting and paying for sabbaticals are established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine," Kravchuk wrote on Facebook.
Also, according to her, the wording of Article 16 of the Law of Ukraine "On Vacations" remains in force.
