Recently, representatives of the Odesa Regional State Administration took part in a meeting between the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak and his deputy Oleksiy Kuleba with a delegation from the American media corporation Fox Corporation and a representative of the British edition of The Sun, UNN reports, citing a post on the tg-channel of the head of the Regional State Administration Oleh Kiper.
Details
The meeting was attended, among others, by Fox Corporation CEO Lachlan Murdoch, British journalist Jerome Starkey, and Fox News Channel journalist Benjamin Hall. The latter covered the war in Ukraine and was seriously injured in March 2022 near Kyiv. Historian Kateryna Yeryeeva joined the online meeting. The meeting was held at the Transfiguration Cathedral, which was hit by Russians on July 23, Kiper reports.
"At the same time, dozens of cultural heritage sites under UNESCO protection were damaged in Odesa. We talked about the consequences. In total, since July 2023, 93 architectural monuments have been damaged by the occupiers' shelling. As the President of Ukraine emphasized, it is very important that the world knows the whole truth about how Russians are trying to destroy our freedom. Therefore, we are grateful to journalists for covering the struggle of our country against Russian terrorists," Kiper wrote.
As a reminder, the authorities of Odesa region signed an agreement with Italy on the restoration of the Transfiguration Cathedral in Odesa.
