In the fall, working groups on transparency and accountability were set up at regional military administrations. Members of the working groups, together with representatives of local governments, the security forces and the public, analyzed and blocked flawed tenders to return money to the budget for more rational spending. Over several months of activity, the working groups prevented the irrational use of funds for procurement worth hundreds of millions of hryvnias, UNN reports .

The leaders are Ternopil region, where the working group on transparency and accountability canceled tenders worth UAH 307 million. Between October 10 and December 15, members of the working group monitored 158 open tenders and sent 43 letters to institutions where violations in tender procurement were found.
Odesa region is in second place. In total, the working group at the Regional State Administration canceled tenders worth UAH 169 million: tenders for the purchase of expensive software, road repairs, and stadium reconstruction. Members of the working group also prevented the purchase of Spanish plane trees, cocoa worth almost half a million hryvnias, and candy worth 795,000 hryvnias.
The working group under the EMB deemed these tenders unnecessary, preferring to finance the Armed Forces.
The third place is taken by Cherkasy DMA . According to the monitoring results, the working group on transparency and accountability managed to prevent spending of more than UAH 152 million on procurement procedures conducted with violations by terminating 93 contracts and canceling 35 procurement procedures.
A considerable amount of money was saved by the members of the working group at Kherson Regional Administrative District (over UAH 50 million), Zhytomyr Regional Administrative District (UAH 32 million), Vinnytsia Regional Administrative District (UAH 27 million), Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Administrative District (over UAH 20 million), Zaporizhzhia Regional Administrative District (almost UAH 18 million), Sumy Regional Administrative District (UAH 14 million), and Chernivtsi Regional Administrative District (UAH 8.8 million).
