At a meeting in Warsaw, Ukraine and Poland, at the level of infrastructure ministers, discussed the unblocking of the border, where Polish carriers are carrying out the action. This week, it is planned to come to a common position in Kyiv together with representatives of the Polish government. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov after his first meeting with the newly appointed Minister of Infrastructure of Poland Dariusz Klimczak, UNN reports.

Several issues of the transportation sector were discussed, but the main topic was the unblocking of the border

- Kubrakov wrote on Telegram.

According to him, during the talks, key figures and analytical data on freight transportation by Ukrainian and Polish carriers were presented, which show that "the problems that the protesters are talking about do not really exist."

He added that they discussed the arguments and position of the Polish side. "It is important to come to a common understanding of the numbers and data on transportation and market share held by our and Polish carriers. Under the partial blockade of deepwater ports, the number of shipments has obviously increased. A significant share is occupied by the transportation of fuel, humanitarian cargo, and grain. In this way, we provide critical imports for Ukraine and support export logistics," Kubrakov said.

"We raised the issue of creating a separate electronic queue for empty trucks on the Yahodyn-Dorohusk route. We proposed it earlier and we have done it. On Monday, registration in a separate queue began, but it is impossible to see the impact of this decision, because the border is completely blocked (3 trucks left Yahodyn in one day!)," the Vice Prime Minister said.

Also, he said, "we have emphasized the period of stay for trucks with foreign registration. Currently, it is 60 days instead of 20.

"We plan to come to a common position this week in Kyiv together with representatives of the Polish government. I am grateful to my colleagues from the new government for their open dialog and willingness to solve problems together. We are working to ensure that exports and imports can move freely across our border," Kubrakov summarized.

Addendum

On November 6, Polish carriers began blocking three checkpoints on the Polish-Ukrainian border for trucks. Later, they expanded the blockade to one more checkpoint. Among the demands of Polish carriers is the return of permits for Ukrainian drivers.
